Venkatadri Granites

Down here in Marturu, things revolve around granite, and Venkatadri Granites is right in the thick of it. Marturu isn’t a very big place, but it’s famous for the stone that comes through here. Our yard is mostly filled with granite slabs of different colors and thicknesses. The sun gets really hot in this part of the country, so working outside in the yard all day is pretty draining. We have the big slabs standing in rows, and we use the machinery to lift them whenever someone wants to see a specific block. It’s not a quiet job. Between the cranes and the trucks coming in from the quarries, there is always some kind of noise happening. We don't bother with fancy displays. We just have the stone out in the open. People come from all over to source granite from Marturu, and we just show them what we’ve got currently in stock. Sometimes the patterns are really consistent, and other times every slab looks different, which is just how natural stone works. We spend a lot of time checking the edges for chips and making sure the polishing is even across the surface. It’s a lot of manual labor and staying on top of the logistics of shipping these heavy loads out. We’ve been here a while and we know the stone better than anything else. It’s just a basic operation where we work hard and let the granite speak for itself.
