Durga Granite

If you drive down G. T. Road, you will find us at Durga Granite. We have been here on the main road for quite a while, surrounded by slabs of stone and the sound of trucks passing by. Our days are mostly spent moving heavy granite pieces around and showing people what we have in stock. It is dusty work, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy showroom; it is more of a practical yard where the stone speaks for itself. People stop by when they are building a house or fixing up a kitchen. We show them the different colors and patterns that come in. Some days it is very busy with deliveries, and other days we are just here tidying up the stacks. G. T. Road is always moving, so there is never a dull moment. We deal with a lot of different contractors and homeowners from all over the area. The sun can get pretty hot out here in the yard, but we are used to it. We aren't experts at sales pitches; we just tell people what the stone is and how much it costs. It is a simple business of heavy lifting and grit. We like the work because at the end of the day, you can see exactly what you have moved and sold. It feels good to work with your hands.
