Prasad Granites

We are located over at 28/2/3 in the S L N Complex. If you know the Ghs Road in Hampankatta, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times without thinking much about it. It’s a tight spot sometimes because of how the complex is built, but we make it work for us. Prasad Granites has been operating out of here, dealing with all kinds of stone slabs day in and day out. Usually, the morning starts with checking what we have left in the inventory and making sure the pieces haven’t chipped overnight. Moving granite isn't easy and you have to be careful not to drop anything or hurt yourself. The Ghs Road gets quite congested around midday, so we try to get most of our heavy loading and unloading done before the traffic gets too bad. We get all sorts of folks coming in, from people just wanting a small piece for a shelf to those doing up a whole floor. It gets dusty in the office because of the cutting, no matter how much we sweep. We just keep a few chairs out for whoever stops by. Most of the time we are just out there in the yard showing people the different finishes. Some stones are polished and some are raw. It’s just how the rock comes to us. We’ve been part of the Hampankatta area for years now and we just keep doing what we do. It's a living, anyway.
