Fabina Granites

Working out of the Baikampady Industrial Estate at Plot No. C-167 means we are surrounded by noise and activity all day. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always a truck backing up or someone using a crane nearby. We focus on granite, which means we spend a lot of time moving very heavy things from one spot to another. It’s the kind of work that leaves you tired at the end of the shift. We’ve got a good group of guys here who know how to handle the machinery. The office is just a small room with some chairs and a desk where we keep the invoices. We don’t put on any acts for visitors; you see the work exactly as it's happening. Sometimes the yard gets muddy when it rains, and we have to be careful with the forklifts. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just come in, do the work, and go home. People come to us because they need stone, and we show them what we have in the yard. It’s a practical business. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and we know the other business owners around the estate. It’s a community of people who work with their hands. We’re just glad to be a part of it and keep the business going every day through the heat and the rain.
