Aysha Granites

Aysha Granites is located at 20, Ecr Panjumakaru, right on the Kulurkavur Road. It’s a good spot because people can see the slabs as they drive past. We have a fairly large open area where we keep the darker granites that everyone seems to want lately. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, so we mostly do the heavy lifting in the cooler hours. We don’t have any slick sales talk here. We just show people what we have in stock and tell them how much it costs. Sometimes we have to tell people that a certain stone won't work for what they want, even if they like the color. It’s better to be honest about it now than have them unhappy later. The mud gets a bit thick around the yard when it rains, so we wear old boots that we keep by the door. We aren't corporate people with suits; we're usually in dusty shirts and trousers. My brother helps me with the inventory, though we mostly just keep it in our heads. It’s a small operation, just a few of us making sure the stone gets where it needs to go. We like the neighborhood and the people who stop by just to chat about their house projects. It’s a decent way to make a living. We’ve been here for years and we plan to stay as long as people need stone for their homes.
