Being based in Mangalore is actually quite nice, even if it gets really humid sometimes. Our office is tucked away here in the 575002 zip code area. We started Bigtec Consultancy Services because there was a need for some local help with technical stuff, and we just stayed. The office is pretty simple. We have some computers, a few old chairs, and a coffee machine that works when it wants to. It’s not a corporate headquarters with glass walls. It’s just a place where a few of us sit and try to solve problems for people who call us up. We take our breaks when we can, maybe grab some local food nearby. The pace in Mangalore is a bit different than the bigger cities, which we actually like. It gives us time to actually focus on what we are doing without all the extra stress. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone writing fancy speeches for us. This is just a short note to say who we are and where we sit. Most of our day is spent looking at screens and talking things through. Sometimes we stay late if a project is acting up, but usually, we head out once the sun goes down. It's a quiet life for the most part, just doing our consulting work and staying out of trouble in this corner of Karnataka.
