Akrathi

Our office is over on Mother Teresa Road, inside Nelagirish Mansion on the second floor. We are quite close to Melagiris Church, so that is usually how people find us in the middle of Hampankatta. It is a busy part of Mangalore, always something going on outside. Being on the second floor means we get a little bit of a break from the street noise, but not much. We have been at this for a while. It is just a small group of us working in a space that is filled with papers, rulers, and rolls of blueprints. We are not into the whole corporate vibe. We wear casual clothes and talk like normal people. Most of our day is spent figuring out how to fit big ideas into small spaces. It is a bit of a puzzle sometimes. We do not have a receptionist sitting at the front. If you walk in, you will probably just see one of us at a desk and we will tell you to grab a chair. We do our best to get things right the first time because nobody likes doing things twice. It gets humid here in the afternoons, so the fans are always going full blast. We like the energy of Hampankatta. It keeps us on our toes. We just focus on the drawings and making sure the measurements are what they should be. It is a straightforward way to work.
