Shriram Public Senior Secondary School

Shriram Public Senior Secondary School is located in the village of Kolang, which is under the Joginder Nagar tehsil in Mandi. You have to head out to the post office area to find us. It’s a quiet village setting, very different from the big cities. We’ve got a modest building that has served the community here for a long time. Running a school in a place like Kolang means you know everyone’s business and they know yours. We don't have any of those fancy modern gadgets you see in city schools. We stick to the basics—good teachers, some solid books, and a place for the kids to sit. The walk up here can be a bit steep for some, but the air is fresh. We spend our days dealing with the usual school stuff, like keeping the registers tidy and making sure the playground isn’t too overgrown. Sometimes the power goes out when there’s a storm in the mountains, but we just keep going with the lessons anyway. It’s a simple life for us. We don’t put on any airs or graces. The building might need a new coat of paint every now and then, and the windows rattle when the wind picks up, but it’s a good place for learning. We’re just local people helping the next generation get through their schooling without making a big deal out of it. It works for us.
