King George Royal Public School sits right along NH-21 in Ner Chowk. Being in Mandi means we are near the heart of things. The highway is always busy with trucks and cars going past, so there is a constant hum in the background. Our school gate is a familiar sight for anyone driving through this part of the state. We have been here in Mandi for quite some time. The building is large enough to hold all the students who come from the surrounding villages and the town itself. Every morning starts the same way with the buses pulling in. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations. It is a school meant for learning. We have the usual desks, chairs, and boards in every room. The staff works hard to keep things in order. It isn't always easy with so many students, but we do what needs to be done. We live in a beautiful part of Himachal Pradesh, even if the road is noisy. The pin code here is 175008. We spend our time planning the day and making sure everyone stays on track. It is a practical life. No one here uses big words to describe what we do. We just open the doors, teach the classes, and close up at the end of the day. Sometimes we stay late to finish up the registers. That is just how it goes at a school in Ner Chowk. We try to keep the hallways quiet when classes are on, but it is always lively.
