Rohtang Manali Travel

We are located right near the Rohtang Taxi Stand in Manali. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets with all the drivers and tourists trying to get up to the pass. Our office is a small place where we organize trips and cars for people wanting to see the snow or go down to the valley. It gets very cold here in the winter, so we usually have a small heater running and we drink a lot of tea to stay warm. The noise from the taxis outside is constant, with horns honking and drivers shouting to each other all morning. We’ve been running Rohtang Manali Travel for a long time, so we know all the roads and the shortcuts around the traffic jams. It’s not a polished operation with uniforms or anything like that. We are just local guys who know the mountains well. Sometimes the weather is bad and the roads get blocked, so we spend a lot of time on our phones checking for updates. Our walls are covered with some old maps and photos of the mountains that have faded over time. People come in with a lot of questions about the permits and the best time to leave, and we just give them the honest truth based on what we see every day. It’s a tough business when the season is busy, but we enjoy it. Most evenings we stay late to make sure everyone got back safely.
