About Itc Welcom Heritage Svr Manali Kullu H.P – Tourism in Manali
This place started because of Vikas Negi. His father is Bichitter Singh Negi and they come from Village Badal over in Gopalpur, which is part of the Sarkaghat area in Mandi. Even though the paperwork points to Mandi, the focus is all on the Heritage SVR spot up in Manali, Kullu. It is a bit of a drive between the home village and where the business is. People around here know the family name. We just try to keep things running like a normal guest house or hotel should. It gets cold in the winters and we have to prepare for that early on. Most days are spent making sure the rooms are tidy and the tea is hot for whoever shows up at the door. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls. It is more about the stone walls and the local wood. Living in Himachal means dealing with the weather and the roads, which can be a mess after the rain. We handle the bookings and try to keep the garden looking decent. It is quiet work most of the time. We have been part of the Welcom Heritage group for a while now but it still feels like a local family thing at the core. You find us near the main road but tucked away enough to hear the birds. It is just a regular life here in the mountains, watching the seasons change. Sometimes the power goes out, so we keep the candles and wood ready. It is honest work and we stay busy year-round without much fuss.
