Laamista Farm Tourism Private Limited is situated at the PMH Complex, room 7/420, in Chemmad. If you know the Thiroorangadi area, you probably know where the complex is. We have been trying to mix traditional farming with having people come over to see how things grow. It is a bit of a weird mix sometimes, trying to keep the place tidy for visitors while also doing the messy work that farms require. Some days it is just us moving things around or checking on the plants, and other days we have people stopping by to ask questions about the land. We aren't a big hotel or anything, just a small operation trying to make the most of what we have here. Chemmad is a busy spot, so being tucked away in the complex gives us a base to organize everything. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually start early. A few of us have lived in Malappuram our whole lives, and this seemed like a decent way to show people what our local agriculture is like without making it look like a museum. It is just real work. We deal with the bugs, the rain, and the usual paperwork that comes with running a business. Most of the time, we are just happy when the sun stays out long enough to get the outdoor chores finished before it gets dark. We keep things pretty simple and hope for the best with each new season.
