Hitech Coaching Academy

Hitech Coaching Academy is tucked away in Somasundaram Colony. We are at number 41 on Subramania Pillai Street. If you know where Tambras Mahal is, we are just a short walk from there. It’s a pretty quiet area compared to the main parts of Madurai, which is nice for the students when they’re trying to focus. We’ve got a few rooms set up for different subjects. People see the name 'Hitech' and might expect a lot of computers, but we mainly focus on old-fashioned teaching with pens and paper. Most of the students come from the nearby houses or catch a bus to get here in the afternoons. The chairs are the plastic kind and they might creak a bit, but nobody seems to mind once the lessons start. We spend a lot of time going over the same chapters until everyone gets it. It’s a lot of work, especially during exam season when the academy stays open a bit later than usual. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit muddy, but the kids still show up. We don't have a big reception desk or anyone to answer phones all day. Most times, we’re just in the back with a group of students. It’s a local place for local families. We keep things straightforward and try to help the kids move ahead with their schoolwork without making it too complicated or stressful.
