50 Deram Needs

We are located right at the Ywca premises on Vallabai Road in Madurai. Being near the Metriculatin High School means there is always some noise from students during the day. Our spot is tucked just behind the Pandian Hotel. It’s a busy area but we have been here for a bit now. Inside, the shelves are usually full of whatever we need for the day. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but it works fine. We start early in the morning, usually around the time the school bells ring. The street gets crowded with cycles and parents dropping kids off. People stop by on their way to work or after picking up their children. It’s just a regular shop really. We don't have fancy signs or anything like that. Just the basics. Most of the folks who come in are from around this part of Madurai. We know many of them by face. Sometimes we run out of space for all the things we keep, so it looks a bit cluttered. It’s not a big corporate place, just a local spot where things get done. We handle the daily tasks and keep track of everything in old ledgers. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit muddy, but people still find their way to us behind the hotel. It is a quiet enough place once the school lets out for the day. We just stay busy with our work here.
