Vijay Foundry

Vijay Foundry is located right over by the Vishkarma Mandir on G T Road. It is a busy spot, mostly because of all the traffic coming off the main road. The heat from the furnace is something you just get used to after a few hours of being here. We spend most of our time dealing with the molds and making sure the metal is flowing right. It gets dusty, and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep. That is the nature of a foundry, I guess. We are right near the temple, so we hear the bells sometimes during the day. It’s a landmark everyone knows around here. The building itself has seen better days, but it holds everything we need. We don't spend much on decorations because it would just get covered in soot anyway. We just show up, start the fires, and get the casting done. Some days are longer than others, especially when a big order comes in. We just handle it as it comes. The guys here have been doing this for a long time, so they know the rhythm. It is not a quiet place to work, but it feels right for what we do. If you walk past on G T Road, you can probably smell the iron and the smoke. It’s just us doing our thing and trying to get through the day's work without too much trouble or fuss.
