A B Steel Works

If you come down to Industrial Area A 65, you will find A B Steel Works. It is a big open space with a lot of machinery sitting around. We have been set up in this spot for a good amount of time. Working in an industrial area means there is always something going on around us. There is usually a lot of smoke and noise from the other factories nearby, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We mostly focus on steel fabrication and fixing things up for people. It is dirty work. Our hands are usually covered in grease and soot by noon. We do not have a fancy reception area or any place for people to sit comfortably. If you want to talk to us about a job, you usually have to shout over the sound of the grinders. We have a couple of guys who have been working with us since the very start. They know the machines better than anyone else does. We get all kinds of different jobs, from tiny parts to much bigger frames. Sometimes things go smoothly and sometimes a machine breaks down and we spend the whole afternoon trying to fix it. That is just part of the life here. We keep a stack of old catalogs in the corner for reference. Most of the work is done by feel and experience. We are not looking to change much.
