Our place is located on Giaspura Road over in Dhandari Kalan. It’s a heavy industrial area, so it’s always dusty and pretty loud around here with the constant truck traffic. We deal with casting and metal production stuff. It’s a big warehouse-type building that’s seen better days. The heat from the furnaces is something you never really get used to, especially during the middle of June when it’s boiling outside too. We’ve got a crew that works in different shifts because the work doesn't really stop once we get the metal hot. It’s a gritty job and everyone wears heavy boots and those thick protective gloves. The yard is usually full of scrap metal and finished pieces waiting to be loaded onto the big flatbeds. We don't spend much time in the tiny office at the front, mostly we're out on the floor making sure things are moving. The main gate is usually left open for the trucks to swing in. Sometimes the road outside gets totally flooded when it rains hard, making it a real mess to get into the yard. We’ve been at this same location for a long time now. The walls are stained from the soot and the signage is a bit faded from the sun. It's just a regular foundry. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby for guests. If you need to talk to someone, you usually have to shout over the noise of the machinery. We just keep the production going day after day.
