You can find Veekay Plastic Signs over in Ghumar Mandi at Shop No. 1093. We are tucked into Dayal Nagar, right next to the Civil Lines area and close to the Royal Girls Hostel. This area is always buzzing with students and shoppers, so there is never a dull moment outside our door. Our shop is old-fashioned. We deal with plastic signs, which means there is often a distinct smell of acrylic and glue in the air. The shelves are packed with letters of all sizes and colors, and the workbench is scarred from years of cutting and shaping material. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but everything has its spot. We’ve been here long enough that we don't need a map to find anything. We don't have a website with a bunch of fancy slogans. Most of our work comes from people walking in because they saw our shop while heading to the hostel or the market. It’s a busy life in Ghumar Mandi, and we’re just a small part of it. We take the orders, measure out the plastic, and get to work. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to start over, but that’s just part of the process. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't. We’re just a local sign shop doing what we’ve always done for the people around here.
