Karawan Decorator

Our workspace is Sco No-6 on Esi Road, which is very close to Valmiki Park. If you know the Kochar Market area, you know it can be a real struggle to find a parking spot on a Saturday. We are Karawan Decorator, and our shop is basically a warehouse for everything needed to put a party or a wedding together. We have stacks of heavy curtains, bundles of decorative lights, and wooden frames leaning against the walls. It’s not the most organized place, but we can find whatever we need in a few minutes. Most of our work happens away from the shop at different halls and homes around the city. When we are back at the base, we are usually cleaning fabric or checking that the lights still work. It’s a family-run business and we don't have a professional office manager or anything like that. We just answer the phone when it rings and write things down in a big ledger book. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when we have three events on the same day, but we always manage to get the trucks loaded and moving. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the market over the years, but we’ve stayed right here on Esi Road. It’s a practical spot for us to reach all parts of the town.
