Gupta Traders

We’ve been here at Gupta Traders for a good while now. The shop is right near the railway croosing in Focal Point, so we hear the trains go by pretty much all day long. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy when the gates are down and traffic piles up outside, but you get used to it after a few years. It’s just how things are around here. We open up early in the morning, usually before the sun gets too high, and sweep the front before the first few people stop by. Being in Focal Point means there is always something moving, whether it’s trucks or people heading to work. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It is just a regular place where we keep our stock and talk to whoever walks in. Most of the folks who come by are locals or people who work in the nearby industrial units. We spend a lot of time just keeping things organized on the shelves, though it feels like as soon as we finish, something else needs moving or cleaning. The tea man comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a small break and sit on the stools outside. It’s a simple way to run a business, but it works for us. We don’t do much advertising or anything loud. People know where we are because of the croosing. If the gates are closed, they just wait a bit and then pull in. That is how the days go by here for us.
