United Tool & Steel Forging Pvt Ltd is situated right on Dholewal Main Road near the Gill Road crossing. It’s a heavy place with a lot of steel moving around. You can hear the sounds of metal hitting metal from down the street. We’ve been at this location for a long time and the walls are stained with the soot from the forge. The air is always a bit thick with the smell of hot iron. We have big hammers and presses that take up most of the floor space. It’s not a place for someone who likes peace and quiet. Dholewal Main Road is always packed with vehicles so there is a constant hum of engines outside. We usually start very early before the heat gets too bad. The workers here have been with us for years and we all know the routine. We don’t bother with fancy offices or decorations. The focus is always on the steel and getting the shapes right. Our boots are heavy and our clothes are rugged because they have to be. We have a small area where we keep our lunch boxes and take quick breaks. It’s honest work and it’s what we know. Gill Road is just around the corner so we get a lot of people passing by. We just stay focused on the tools and the forgings we make every day. It's hot and noisy but that is just how we like to work.
