Ankit Steels

Ankit Steels has been at Plot No. B-25 in Focal Point for quite some time. It's a very busy area, with lots of steel and heavy metal moving around all day long. Our yard isn't the biggest in the estate, but we make it work for what we need. We spend most of the day loading and unloading trucks that come in from all over. The ground is almost always covered in a bit of iron dust and it gets quite messy when it rains. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It's just a functional space with some heavy-duty racks and a small office at the front where the phone rings more than it probably should. My cousin helps out with the books, and a couple of local guys handle the heavy lifting out back. We know most of the other business owners around Focal Point. It’s a pretty tight-knit spot. Everyone knows whose truck is blocking the lane at any given time. We don't really have big staff meetings; we just talk over a quick lunch or while we're waiting for the next delivery to arrive. The work is heavy and dirty, but it keeps us busy. Sometimes we have to stay late if a big load comes in at the last minute. The gate at B-25 squeaks a bit, and we really should get around to fixing it one of these days. We just keep our heads down and do what we know.
