Ludhiana is a town that knows about hard work, and that’s exactly what we do at our rolling mill. We are located over on 7th Main and 9th Cross at D-11. It’s an industrial area, so there is always noise and the smell of machines running. We aren't the type of place that has a clean-cut office with no dirt on the floor. Steel is a messy job. There are always parts and pieces lying around that need to be moved. We spend most of our time on the floor making sure the mills are running right. It gets really hot near the equipment, especially during the summer months. Our guys have been doing this for years, so they know the machines better than anyone. We don’t use a lot of fancy technology for everything; some things are still better done by hand or just by looking at them. It’s a long day usually, starting before the sun is fully up and staying until the last truck is loaded. We don’t have a big corporate structure. If something breaks, we fix it ourselves. It’s a practical way to live. We’ve been part of the Ludhiana industrial scene for a while and we just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s not flashy, but it’s what we know.
