Steel Gems

Being out here at Plot No D-186 in Focal Point means we’re surrounded by factories and the sound of machines all day long. It’s not the quietest spot, but it’s where the work happens. We focus on steel, mostly handling different pieces and parts that people need for their own projects. The building is just a standard industrial unit, nothing special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of metal and a couple of desks where we keep track of everything. We started out small. We stayed that way for a reason. It’s easier to manage when you know exactly what’s on the floor. The dust from the road gets in sometimes. We spend a lot of time just moving heavy stuff around. The guys working here have been with us for a while, so we all know the routine by now. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. Most people just find us because they’re already in Focal Point looking for something specific. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the roof, but we just keep going. It’s the work we do and it keeps us busy from morning until the gates close in the evening. There isn't much more to it than that. We just show up, do the jobs we have for the day, and come back to do it again tomorrow.
