Star Machinery Works

Our shop, Star Machinery Works, is located in the Dholewal area. We are right beside Vishavkarma School, so you can usually hear the kids during their break times. It’s a good landmark if you’re trying to find us. We do a lot of machine work here. There is always some grease on the floor and the smell of metal in the air. That’s just how a machine shop is. We’ve got a couple of lathes and some other gear that we use every day. It’s mostly repair work and making small parts that people can’t find anywhere else. My brother and I started this place because we liked fixing things. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything. It’s just the workshop and a small bench where we sit to have our lunch. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just part of being in Dholewal. We’ve made friends with the other shop owners around here. We help each other out when someone needs a tool or a hand with a heavy piece of iron. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep the machines running and try to finish the work on time for the folks who rely on us. Most days we are here from dawn until late evening.
