Working out of Link Road Industrial Area in Ganesh Nagar means dealing with a lot of noise and dust every single day. We’ve got the machines set up and they pretty much run from morning until we lock up in the evening. It’s a mechanical shop, so there’s always something that needs oiling or a part that needs to be cut just right. The space isn’t huge but we make it work by keeping everything in its place, or at least we try to. Ganesh Nagar is a tight area with lots of other small factories around us, so there is a lot of back and forth with neighbors. Sometimes we share tools or help each other out when a big load comes in. The floor gets messy with metal shavings and we spend a lot of time sweeping up at the end of the shift. It’s hard work and your back definitely feels it by Friday. We don’t have a big office or anything, just a small corner where we keep the records and take phone calls. Most people just walk in through the main door if they need to talk. We’ve seen the area change over the years, and there is more traffic on Link Road now than there used to be. It’s a plain place, just metal and machines and people doing their jobs. We don't worry about decorations or making things look pretty, we just focus on getting the work done and keep things running smooth.
