We spend most of our days here at No. 138 in the L Block area of B. R. S Nagar. It’s a busy spot where the machines for processing boiled and raw rice are usually running from early morning. My father started things off and now we just keep it going as well as we can. The mill can get pretty dusty and loud with all the equipment going at once, but that is just how it is in this line of work. We handle a lot of grain coming in from the fields nearby. It gets sorted, cleaned, and processed right on the floor. Some days are smoother than others, especially when a machine decides to act up right in the middle of a big batch. We just fix it and keep moving. People around here know where to find us. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a practical workspace with bags of rice stacked up against the walls and the smell of toasted grain in the air. We focus on getting the texture right for the boiled variety and keeping the raw rice clean. It’s hard work, manual mostly, and your clothes usually end up covered in husk by the time you go home. We don’t have a big marketing team. It’s just us doing the daily tasks, checking the moisture levels, and making sure the trucks get loaded correctly. It’s been this way for a long time now.
