Rameswara Rice Mill Private Limited

Our place, Rameswara Rice Mill Private Limited, is situated at Plot No. 8212/4 in Gurpal Nagar. We are on Street No. 11/4, just off Daba Road. It is a busy area with a lot of trucks moving around all the time. When the mill is running, there is a very specific smell of grain and husks in the air. It is something you get used to very quickly. We have some big machinery inside for processing the rice. It is quite loud when everything is switched on at once. We spend our days overseeing the machines and making sure the bags are filled and moved to the right place for loading. The floors are usually covered in a thin layer of dust from the grain. We don't have a fancy office, just a small room where we keep the books and take our lunch breaks. It is a lot of physical work and the hours can be long during the peak seasons when the harvest comes in. We have a small group of people working here and we have all been together for a while now. It is a steady kind of life. We know the neighbors on Daba Road and sometimes they come by to chat or share some news. It is just a standard mill operation. We don't try to make it sound like more than it is. It is hard work but it is what we do to get by.
