If you go down Street 5 in Kot Mangal Singh, you’ll find us at Plot No. 9831. Sri Mahalakshmi Rice Mill has been a part of this neighborhood for quite some time. It’s a busy place, especially during the harvest seasons. You can usually hear the machines running from the street. We aren't a huge industrial factory, just a local mill that processes rice for the folks around here and some traders. The place is often dusty with the husks, but that’s just part of the job. We have a few regular workers who have been with us for years. They know the machines inside and out. We don't have any fancy marketing. Most of our customers are locals or people who have been coming to us for decades. It’s simple work, but it’s important. We spend our days checking the quality and making sure the bags are filled right. The office is just a small corner where we keep the ledger. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with all the bags stacked up, but we have our own system for keeping track of it all. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't. We're just a rice mill in Kot Mangal Singh trying to do a decent job for the community. It’s what we know how to do, and we just keep at it every day.
