Sowmyashree Enterprises

If you’re driving down Firozpur Road, you’ll find us at 23B. It’s a noisy part of town because of all the heavy trucks going back and forth all day. We deal with a lot of different supplies here at Sowmyashree Enterprises, mostly hardware and some electrical stuff that local builders might need. The shop is pretty cramped because we try to fit as much stock as possible into the small space we have. There’s usually a stack of pipes or some crates blocking the path to the back office. I spend most of my day answering the phone or checking the inventory against the handwritten lists we keep. My nephew comes in after his classes to help move the heavier boxes around. We don’t have a polished showroom or anything like that. It’s just a practical place where people come to get what they need and go. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with deliveries to worry about how the place looks. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, but that’s just part of being in this area. We know the other shop owners on this block, so we often share a meal or some news during the slow hours. It’s a straightforward business, no frills, just hard work and trying to keep the customers happy with what we’ve got at the time.
