Sood Sweets Shop

Sood Sweets Shop is located right in the heart of shimlapuri. It’s been our family's daily life for as long as I can remember. The shop isn’t very big, and the walls have seen a lot of years, but it’s home to us. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment; a lot of what we do is still done with the same pots and pans we started with. Every morning starts the same way, getting the fire going and prepping the ingredients. Shimlapuri is a busy neighborhood, so there’s always noise from the street coming in through the door. We don’t have a big staff, just family and a couple of helpers who have been with us forever. We don’t really use a computer for anything; we keep our records in a ledger and talk to our customers face-to-face. Sometimes the supply of milk is late, or we run out of boxes, but we always figure it out. It’s not a polished corporate place. The tiles on the floor are a bit worn down from people walking in and out all day. We just want to provide something honest for the people living nearby. We aren’t trying to be the biggest shop in town. We just want to do our work and go home knowing we did a decent job. If you’re around shimlapuri, you’ll find us easily. Just look for the place with the steam coming from the back and the smell of fresh sweets.
