Kala Halwai

Kala Halwai is situated out in Vill Harbans, which is near Samrala and Kohara in Ludhiana. We are right there on the road where people pass through between the villages. It is a very local spot and we see a lot of people who are just traveling from one place to another. Being near Kohara means we get people from the city and the countryside too. The shop is simple and we focus on the work we have to do every morning. We start early, long before most people are even awake, because that is how it goes when you are a halwai. The air around here is a bit different than the center of Ludhiana, maybe a bit more open. We know most of the people in Vill Harbans and they know where to find us. We don't use big advertisements or anything like that. People just know we are here near the Samrala side. There is a lot of dust from the road sometimes and the sound of tractors going by, but we are used to it. We keep our place as tidy as we can and just focus on making the items we sell. It’s a straightforward business and we don't try to make it seem like more than it is. Just a local halwai shop doing what we have done for a long time in this area of Kohara. We stay open late most nights just to make sure we finish everything properly.
