Our shop is tucked away in Village Kaoke Kalan, right near the Gurudwara. It’s a good spot because people are always passing by on their way to pray or coming back from the fields. Being in Jagraon district, we get a lot of local folks who have been buying their sweets from us for years. We aren't interested in being some big brand. We just like making good sweets that people in the village enjoy. The kitchen is always going, especially when there’s a wedding in the village. Those days are the longest, sometimes we are up all night making sure the snacks and desserts are ready for the morning. It’s a bit dusty outside sometimes with the tractors going by, but inside we keep everything covered up and ready to go. The shop is simple, just a counter and some shelves. We don’t have a website or any of that stuff, people just know us by word of mouth. If you’re ever in Kaoke Kalan, you can’t miss us since we are so close to the Gurudwara. We’ve seen the village change a bit over the years, but our way of making things hasn't changed much. We just keep the fire going and the milk boiling. It's a steady life and we’re happy to be part of the neighborhood here.
