Sonex Engineers

Our workshop is tucked away in Prabhat Nagar, specifically at Plot No. 15461/1-A on Street Number 13. Dholewal is a busy part of Ludhiana, full of people making things out of metal. Sonex Engineers is a small operation. We have a few machines that we use for turning and shaping parts. It’s not a clean environment by any means. There are metal shavings on the floor and the smell of cutting oil is everywhere. I took over the place from my uncle. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find me standing by one of the lathes or talking to the guys about a specific drawing. We work with a lot of local factories that need small components made to a certain size. Sometimes a job goes wrong and we have to start over, which is frustrating, but that’s how it is. We don't have a website where you can order things. Usually, someone just drops by with a sample and asks if we can make a hundred more like it. We have a small stove in the corner where we make tea for everyone twice a day. The street outside is narrow and usually blocked by a rickshaw or a truck. It’s just a typical Ludhiana workshop where we work hard and go home tired. We’ve been here for a long time and the neighbors all know us.
