We are over at 156 Industrial Area A, which is just down the road from many other similar factories. It’s a busy industrial zone where trucks are always backing in and out of narrow gates. Our mill has been running here for years. Inside, the space is filled with heavy machinery and large sacks of wool waiting to be processed. It is a very hands-on environment. We don't have a glossy reception area or anything like that. When you come in, you’re likely to see someone moving bundles or checking the tension on the machines. The floor is old and worn from years of heavy use. We spend a lot of time dealing with the grit and dust that comes with wool production. It’s a process that hasn't changed much for us over time. We start early, usually before the traffic gets too bad, and we stay until the day’s quota is met. There is always a lot of chatter between the staff, usually about the machines or the quality of the latest batch of raw material. We take our tea breaks together in a small shaded area outside when it gets too stuffy indoors. It’s a simple way of working. We aren't focused on fancy appearances; we just care about keeping the machines running and making sure the wool is handled properly. It is a lot of work, but it is what we know.
