We've been over here on Sokhi Road in Simlapuri for quite a while now. It’s a busy spot and things get pretty loud during the day with all the steel moving around. Our office at 6004 is usually full of paperwork and tea cups. People come in looking for different types of steel, and we just try to get them what they need without making a big fuss about it. The floor is usually covered in some dust, and the guys are always busy loading up trucks. It’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever see, but it works for what we do. Sometimes the power goes out, or the trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes, but we manage to get through the day. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the way we handle our metal stays mostly the same. It’s hard work, and by the evening, everyone is pretty tired and ready to go home. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that because the focus is always on the stacks of steel sitting out there. If you walk by, you’ll hear the clanging of metal and see the workers wearing their old boots. It’s just how things are done here at Sokhi Steels. We keep things simple and try to stay organized, even when it gets chaotic. It’s a local operation, run by people who know the area well.
