We are over at 2756 Chet Singh Nager. This is on Radha Swami Road, which connects to Gill Road. Our place is a fabrication workshop. You’ll hear the sound of welding and metal cutting before you even see the door. It’s a loud environment. We work with iron and steel mostly. The floor is concrete and always has sparks flying somewhere. Chet Singh Nager is a place with a lot of small workshops like ours. Radha Swami Road stays pretty busy with rickshaws and delivery trucks. We don't have a front office or anything like that. You just walk into the shed where the work is happening. My brothers and I run the place. We’ve got the welding masks and the grinders going all day. Gill Road is the main artery near us, so getting materials in and out isn't too hard. Sometimes we are making gates, other times it’s frames for small buildings. It’s heavy work and my back feels it at the end of the day. We don't have a catalog. People usually just bring a drawing or tell us what they need. We just figure it out as we go. The air is always a bit smoky from the welding rods. It’s a local shop for local needs. We just keep our heads down and do the fabrication work that comes our way. It is a noisy life but it is what we do to get by.
