Sikka Sewa Kender

Sikka Sewa Kender is located right along Jagraon Kherwadi Road and it is a busy spot most of the time. If you are driving down that way you will see us easily enough. The road gets a lot of traffic with people heading in and out of town so there is always a bit of noise from the cars and motorcycles passing by. We have been operating out of this space for a while and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint but they do the job for now. Inside it is mostly just what you would expect from a local place. There are some old chairs for people to sit on while they wait and a counter that has seen better days. We spend a lot of our time just talking to the folks who stop in. It is not just about the work but also about seeing the regulars and hearing about what is going on in the neighborhood. On hot days we keep the fan going full blast but it mostly just moves the warm air around. Jagraon Kherwadi Road is a long stretch and we are glad to be a part of the daily rhythm here. When it rains the water pools a bit near the front step and we have to put a wooden plank down sometimes so people don't get their feet wet. It is just a regular life here at Sikka Sewa Kender. We don't have any big signs or bright lights just the name on the front and our tools. We just try to be helpful and stay busy.
