Punjab Crane Service is located over at 16 Manju Cinema in the Shiv Mandir Market area. It’s a pretty lively spot to be in every day. Between the people going to the movies and the folks shopping in the market, there is always something going on. We have our cranes parked nearby where we can reach them fast. It can be a bit of a squeeze getting the big machines through the market traffic, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We aren't a corporate office with people in suits. We are usually in our work clothes, probably with some dirt on them. We take the cranes out when someone calls, and we bring them back when the job is done. It’s a routine that works for us. Shiv Mandir Market has a lot of small businesses, and we know most of the owners. We help each other out when we can. Sometimes the cranes need a bit of work, so we spend our afternoons tightening bolts and checking the oil levels. It’s important to keep the gear in decent shape. We don’t bother with big slogans or anything like that. We just focus on the work in front of us. It’s a busy life here in the market. Most days we are too tired to do much else besides eat and sleep once the sun goes down. We usually close up the yard pretty late in the evening.
