We’ve been here on Town Hall Road for a while now. Most days start with the sound of the shutters going up early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. Chaura Bazar gets crowded fast, so you have to get things organized before the narrow lanes fill up with people and carts. Our spot isn't huge, but it fits everything we need to get through the day. Sometimes the light inside is a bit dim if the bulb in the back starts flickering again, but we manage just fine. There’s always someone stopping by to ask for directions or just to see what’s new on the shelves. It’s mostly just us handling the stock and making sure the ledgers are somewhat up to date by the evening. The tea guy from around the corner usually comes by twice a day, and those are the best five minutes of the afternoon. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s a lot of lifting boxes and moving things around to find what a customer wants. By the time the sun goes down, the whole market feels different, a bit more tired but still moving. We pack things up slowly, lock the front, and head home to do it all again the next day. It’s just how things go here at Shree Krishna Trading Co. No one really makes a big fuss about things, we just stay busy with the work at hand.
