Shivam Misthan Bhandar

Shivam Misthan Bhandar is located right at Samrala Chowk on Samrala Road. It is a very dusty and noisy place because of all the trucks passing through the junction. We spend most of our time in the back of the shop where the big stoves are. We get the fresh milk delivered every morning and that is the start of our day. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations. The benches for customers are a bit old and the paint is peeling in some spots. We are not trying to be a five-star place. We just want to provide something good for the people who live around here or those waiting for their bus. My brother handles most of the customers while I stay near the heat. We make a lot of samosas in the late afternoon because that is when the hunger hits everyone. We use the local ingredients we can get from the market nearby. There is not a big plan or a corporate strategy here. We just show up, make the sweets, and sell them until we are tired. Sometimes we forget to change the light bulbs right away when they go out. It is just the two of us and a helper, so we do what we can. We like being part of the chowk. It is a messy place but it is our place. We just keep the trays full and the stove hot for the next batch.
