Sharman Jain Sweet

Sharman Jain Sweet is tucked away in Ghumar Mandi, specifically over at Sadashiv Peth in the Patwardhan Wada building at unit B-19-187. We spend a lot of our time in the back kitchen where the heat from the big stoves stays all day. It’s noisy and smells like sugar and milk most of the time. The shop itself isn't huge, but we make sure the glass counters are full of what we made that morning. People stop by on their way home from work or when they have a family gathering. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us making sure the trays are filled and the floor is swept. Sometimes we run out of the popular items before the afternoon is over, which can be frustrating, but we only make so much at a time to keep things from sitting too long. The location in Sadashiv Peth is busy, with lots of traffic and people walking by, so it gets pretty hectic during festival seasons. We’ve seen kids grow up coming here with their parents, and now they bring their own children. It’s a simple setup. No big decorations or fancy packaging, just the sweets in boxes or paper bags. We just focus on getting the recipes right every single day. If you’re looking for us, look for the sign near the old Wada entrance. We’re usually there from early morning until the last bit of barfi is sold.
