Sharma Stamp & Box Die Maker

Our workshop is located at 583-84 Industrial Area B, right in the B R Harman Mohtta Building. We are pretty much across from the SBI, so that makes it easy to find us even though this part of town is a bit of a maze. We spend our days making rubber stamps and those metal dies used for cutting boxes. It’s messy work. There is always ink on someone’s fingers and the smell of cut metal in the air. The building itself has seen better days, but it’s solid and gives us the space we need for the heavy machinery. We don’t have a front desk person or anything like that. Usually, you just walk in and one of us will look up from a machine to see what you need. We work with a lot of the businesses on Mangaldas Road who need stamps for their paperwork. Every die we make has to be just right or the boxes won't fold, so we spend a lot of time staring at designs. It isn't a glamorous job, but it's what we do. The Clover Trump area stays busy all day long, and we’re right in the middle of it. Sometimes we have tea delivered from the stall down the street while we wait for a machine to finish a run. We’ve been at this address for years and people know where to come. We just keep working until the job is done right.
