Shanti Sales

Shanti Sales is tucked away in Ludhiana, and it’s been our home for quite a while now. It’s a sales office and a bit of a warehouse too, depending on how much stock we happen to have on hand. The walls are lined with shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, which makes it a bit dark inside even on the sunny days. I spend a lot of my time on the phone or talking to people who drop in to see what we have available. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us doing the heavy lifting and the paperwork. In the rainy season, the roof leaks a tiny bit near the front door, so we have to keep a bucket there, which everyone knows to walk around. It’s those little things that make the place feel like ours. We don’t bother with fancy uniforms or big signs. People find us because they know where we are or someone they trust told them. The coffee we make in the back is usually too strong, but it helps when we have a long list of orders to get through. Ludhiana is a fast-paced city, but inside these walls, we try to just take things one step at a time. It’s about getting the boxes out the door and making sure the numbers in the book match up at the end of the week. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy.
