Sangam Beauty Parlour & Training Institute

We are right at the Bus Stand Chowk in Mullanpur Mandi. It is a very busy spot because of all the buses coming and going from Ludhiana. Sangam is where a lot of people stop by when they are in town for shopping. We have the parlour and we also run the training institute. There are always students around learning how to do braids or facials. It is a bit noisy because of the buses honking outside, but we get used to it. The room is filled with the smell of creams and powders. I started this in Mullanpur because there were not many places for girls to learn a skill. Now we have many girls who have finished their course and started their own shops. We use simple tools and teach the practical way. You do not need fancy machines to do a good job. People from the nearby villages come here for weddings. We do the full bridal packing and makeup. It gets very hectic during the wedding season. We barely have time to eat lunch. But the work is good. We keep a ledger for all the appointments. Sometimes people just show up and we try to fit them in. It is a friendly place. The tea from the bus stand stall is what keeps us going throughout the long days. We are easy to spot if you are at the chowk.
