Saeco Steel Rolling Mills

Our mill, Saeco Steel Rolling Mills, is right on G.T. Road, directly opposite the Dhandari Railway Station. Being near the tracks means we hear the trains go by all the time. It’s a loud place to be, especially when the rolling lines are moving. We spend our days dealing with hot metal and heavy rollers. The heat from the furnace is something you never really get used to, but it’s part of the job. We’ve been operating here for a long time, watching the traffic on G.T. Road get heavier every year. The mill isn’t a modern, sterile place; it’s full of grease, iron dust, and hard work. We mostly produce steel sections that get used in construction and other big projects. We don't have a team of people in suits. Most of us are in overalls and covered in soot by the end of the shift. We check the thickness of the steel and make sure it meets what’s needed. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend half the night fixing them. It’s a tough environment, but there is a sense of pride in seeing the finished steel stacked up and ready to go. We have our own way of doing things that we’ve developed over the decades. It’s not a complicated business model, just rolling steel day in and day out. We just focus on the task and try to stay safe in all the noise.
