Doon Oxford School

If you go down Pakhowal Road and head towards Thakkarwal Village, you’ll find Doon Oxford School. We are located right near those Omax Flats. It’s a growing part of Ludhiana, so there’s always some construction noise in the distance. The school itself is a busy spot. We have kids coming in from the nearby flats and also from the village side. It’s a mix of different families. The classrooms are filled with the usual noise of children talking and teachers trying to keep them quiet. We have a playground, though it’s mostly just dirt and some grass that struggles to grow in the heat. In the mornings, the vans line up outside the gate, making the road a bit narrow. I usually spend my time in the office or walking the hallways to make sure things are moving along. The weather in Ludhiana can be tough, either too dusty or too cold, but the school stays open through it all. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. It’s just a place for the kids to come and get their lessons done. The teachers are locals from around here. We know most of the parents by name because we see them every afternoon at pickup time. It gets a bit chaotic when the final bell goes off, but that’s just how it is. We’re just a local school doing our thing in Thakarwal. We don't worry about being fancy.
