Bharatam World School

Our school sits right on the G T Road in Khanna. It’s a busy location, and you can hear the trucks and cars passing by most of the day. Being in a place like Khanna means we see a lot of the same faces every day, which is nice. Bharatam World School isn't a massive complex, but we have enough space for the classrooms and a bit of an outdoor area. The mornings start with the staff trickling in, some on scooters and some walking from the nearby streets. We spend a lot of time on basic stuff, like making sure the benches are straight and the lights are working. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out like everyone else in the area. Our rooms are filled with the usual school smells—old paper, wooden desks, and sometimes the smell of lunch from the staff room. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us teachers and the office staff trying to keep things moving. We write on the boards, talk to the kids, and handle the paperwork that comes with running a school on a main road. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we’re thankful for the shade around the building. It’s a practical place, built for learning, and we’re just here doing our jobs day in and day out. There is always something to fix or a desk to move.
