Rockwood Scholars School

Our school is out in Village Karour, which is near Kohara on the outskirts of Ludhiana. Being away from the main city traffic is actually quite nice, though the roads can get a bit narrow when the buses are coming through. It’s mostly farmland and open spaces around this area, so you get a lot of fresh air, especially in the winter months when the morning mist hangs over the fields. We’ve set up everything here to be practical for the families living in the surrounding villages. It’s a quiet spot most of the time, except when it’s recess and you can hear the noise from across the courtyard. The building is a solid structure that we keep as tidy as we can, though with so many kids running around, there’s always something that needs a bit of fixing or a fresh coat of paint. Most of the people working here come from nearby towns, so we all know the local routes and the shortcuts through the village lanes. Ludhiana is a busy place, but out here in Karour, things feel a lot slower and more manageable. We don't have any big flashy signs, just a simple entrance that lets people know they’ve arrived at the right place. It takes some time to get out here if you’re coming from the center of town, but the community we have built in this village makes it worth the drive every day for the staff and the students.
