Our steel business is located in Ludhiana at B-31/682. We are right on the Jamalpur Chandigarh Road. It is a very industrial area so there is always the sound of metal and engines. The building is not very new but it serves us well for storing and managing the steel. Being on the main road to Chandigarh makes it easy for the transport trucks to find us. We have a small office section where we keep all the records and talk to the buyers. It is often a bit loud and there is a lot of soot in the air from all the factories around here. We have a few guys who handle the loading and a couple of us who stay in the office. We don't really have a reception area or anything like that. People just walk in through the main gate. The floor is concrete and usually has some scrap bits of metal laying around. We drink a lot of tea and listen to the radio while we work. It is a straightforward life. We deal with the orders as they come and try to keep the stacks of steel organized. Ludhiana is a tough place to work sometimes because of the weather and the traffic but we are used to it by now. It is just a regular steel yard and office where we get things done.
